Disposable masks are generally limited to 8 hours of cumulative use. Occupational exposed personnel should replace masks every 4 hours. Replace immediately if:
1. Don't pull it to your chin or hang it on your arm: This exposes your nose and mouth and pollutes the inner layer of the mask, increasing infection risks.
2. Don't touch the outside of the mask: The outer surface traps droplets. Touching it can contaminate your hands and lead to accidental infection through eyes or nose.
